Hi All,
For those who are interested, we are registered at The Bay and Home Outfitters. Thanks to Melani for the reminder! To see them online, go to http://www.thebay.com and click on “national gift registry.” Then search by one of our names. I just noticed that they have my name wrong on there, though. They have:
“Job Yarkie” and “Melanie Cherynk”
I will call them to have this fixed and edit this post when it has been fixed.
They also have a wedding countdown on the registry site: only 92 days left, apparently! Wow!

I thought I would post some travel options, for your information. If something you need is not covered, let us know and we will add it to the list!
Some advice on ferries:
If you are flying into Vancouver, you have options. You can take a ferry from Vancouver directly to Pender Island, but this only happens twice a day (early in the morning and late at night). You will have better luck if you go from Vancouver to Victoria and then “do the turn-around” and take the ferry from Victoria to Pender. Van to Vic ferries run every hour on the hour at that time of year, and there are several ferries from Victoria to Pender per day, depending on which day you choose to go. It’s probably a good idea to get a reservation on the Van to Vic or Van to Pender ferry, but remember that a reservation DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on the ferry! See the BC Ferries webpage for more information.
We look forward to seeing you here!

Hello!
Congratulations on finding your way to our website. We’re looking forward to seeing you all on Pender, but we realize that finding accomodation here may be a challenge. Here are a few links to websites that list accomodations on Pender:
Here is some information on camping: Pender Islands Camping.
Here is a printable pdf map of the North island. Melanie’s parents live in the Port Washington area, on Paisley Road. The wedding will be in the Clam Bay area, which is also at the very north end of the island, so keep this in mind. However, it is a short trip by car or bike to most places on North Pender, and there is a taxi service.
Here is a Google Map of some important locations on Pender Island. For an idea of travel time, it takes us about 15 minutes to drive from the Chernyk house to the Driftwood Centre.
I hope this is helpful! Let us know if you have any questions.
